The Crinale Cellar
is in Castorano, in the centre of the Piceno territory, on the hills which overlooking the Tronto river valley, 280 metres above sea level.

Castorano is traditionally characterized by a flourishing agricultural activity and it is an important stage of the Rosso Piceno Superiore way, which passes through 13 towns of the Piceno where this wine is produced.

Only the territory of 3 towns belongs completely to the control of production of Rosso Piceno Superiore DOC: among these there is Castorano together with Offida and Acquaviva Picena.

As a matter of fact Rosso Piceno Superiore DOC production is characterized by an area of production extremely wide in the Marches, which extends from the Tronto to the Misa (Senigallia) rivers. Instead the production of Rosso Piceno Superiore is concentrated on a smaller and specialized area, which extends exclusively in the province of Ascoli Piceno.

In this particular and unique territory, where the hill ridges slope down from Ascoli to the sea towards San Benedetto del Tronto, there are the right climatic and morphological conditions for the production of this high quality DOC which is very typical and recognizable in its structural features.

Nowadays Castorano, together with other towns of the Piceno, is also a town chosen for the production of the new Offida DOC production of wines in all its red and white varieties.

The choice to create a cellar in Castorano is based on tradition, natural bent of the place and will to boost and set off a typical production embodied in its territory.
Besides Rosso Piceno Superiore, the cellar also produces an excellent Falerio dei Colli Ascolani, other traditional DOC of the area of the Piceno.
